14th Richmond “Viking” Scout Boating Centre

The 14th Richmond Viking Boating Centre invites you to experience fixed seat traditional rowing on the finest stretch of the Thames in London. We’ve been here since 1921, so we know our oars, and are ready to show you a fun time rowing on the Thames.

We’re usually available weekday evenings from April to October, so take a look at our rowing calendar to see when we’re free; once you have a date or two in mind fill out the booking form and we’ll get back to you and enter your request into the log book. And then all you will need to do is arrive in Richmond and be ready for a little light exercise!

All our instructors have qualified to the Scout Association regulations for water activities, are first aid trained and DBS checked. Please take some time to read our operating procedures, which may answer any questions that you have.

Our Boating Centre is a large and quiet modern facility, and can be booked for training, social or other events. Please contact us for information, the Centre overview is on our “important documents page
