14th Richmond “Viking” Scout Boating Centre Training Session on Jubilant The 14th Richmond Viking Boating Centre invites you to experience fixed seat traditional rowing on the finest stretch of the Thames in London. We’ve been here since 1921, so we know our oars, and are ready to show you a fun time rowing on the Thames. We’re usually available weekday evenings from April to October, so take a look at our rowing calendar to see when we’re free; once you have a date or two in mind fill out the booking form and we’ll get back to you and enter your request into the log book. And then all you will need to do is arrive in Richmond and be ready for a little light exercise! All our instructors have qualified to the Scout Association regulations for water activities, are first aid trained and CRB checked. Please take some time to read our operating procedures, which may answer any questions that you have. Please note: our Covid-19 Risk Assessments, methods and process can be found on our “important documents page” Sadly our boating facilities are still closed till Government, British Rowing and Scout rules allow us enough leeway to conduct safe training. Jubilant is still off the water, but hopefully still will be relaunched this season. The 14th Richmond Viking Scout Boating Centre has been for many years a British Rowing “Explore Rowing” Accredited Centre. Here’s our certificate, and here you will find what it means. All our documents can be found on the Important Documents page.
